Feel free to propose trades and discuss. This is the place to be for fantasy baseball owners to get feedback on potential trades.

A fellow owner in my Yahoo! league has proposed A-Rod for Roy Halladay. A-Rod "only" has 17 HRs. Considering he missed about the first 35 games, he'd probably near the league leader if he hadn't had hip surgery before the season started. He's also on a tear, hitting .299 with 25 RBIs in the past month. Can he keep it up and boost that batting average over the next few months? Will his hip hinder him at all? I think A-Rod will be fine. He will supposedly get one day off per week to rest that injury (or at least DH once a week).

Roy Halladay - who could get traded in real life before the month is over - is coming off of a DL stint and hasn't picked up a win since June 7. He posts a 4.50 ERA since his groin injury with 4 HR allowed, albeit 3 of them in the new Yankee Stadium phone booth. I'm sure Halladay will be his normal, dominating self after the break.

I think this is one of those trades where you can pull the trigger on either side if you are getting something you need. I need a big HR, RBI guy so I'm going to give up Halladay for A-Rod. I've got a solid rotation and will welcome a big bat.

Let me know what you think...
